On 22nd January 2009, the Chairwoman of the Commission for Personal Data Protection – Veneta Shopova met with the Chairman of Sofia Regional court – Krasimir Vlahov. The meeting took place at the Commission for Protection of Personal Data.
The leaders of both institutions discussed a large range of current problems related to the status of courts as personal data administrators. Different aspects of the observance in the requirements on citizens’ personal data protection as for Bulgarian courts were introduced.
During the meeting, a special attention was paid to the topic of application of art.64 of the Law of Judicial Authority, according which publication in the internet shall be done, observing the Law on Protection of Personal Data. Mrs. Shopova and Mr. Vlahov discussed the opportunity of effective collaboration between both institutions.
