CPDP informs all citizens and data controllers about an abusive attempt of illegal collection of personal data.
In relation to identified information on the activity of the online platform DATAREGISTER.BG Ltd on its official webpage (www.dataregister.bg), a well-grounded presumption of unlawful action by the company can be made. It is based on the unlawful collection and dissemination of data about the data controllers in the Republic of Bulgaria under the name „National Register of Personal Data Controllers”, which clearly misleads that this is an official duty of this specific entity.
Once more, CPDP would like to inform all data controllers that since the 25th of May 2018 the obligation on data controllers to register in CPDP falls out, in addition, the maintenance of public registers of data controllers ceases to exist. As of 25 May 2018 the access to the Information system for registration of data controllers is suspended.
