The Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP) is the coordinator of an international project named „SMEDATA II: Ensuring the Highest Degree of Privacy and Personal Data Protection through Innovative Tools for SMEs and Citizens”, co-funded by the European Commission under the Rights, Equality and Citizenship 2014-2020 Programme of the European Union.
It is planned, that within the project of SMEDATA II, six trainings, aimed at representatives of small and medium enterprises in Bulgaria and Italy will be conducted. The goal of the trainings is awareness raising of SME representatives in regards to the legal framework of personal data protection.
The training events for micro, small and medium enterprises will be held in three Bulgarian cities – Varna, Plovdiv and Sofia.
In the course of each training, the CPDP will present the practical application and interpretation of the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as case studies from the Commission`s practice.
Keeping in mind the organization and coordination of the planned events, participation in them will take place after a preliminary „Registration”, which is carried out on the website of the project.
Timeline of the events:
• Varna – 28 April 2022: registration. The event will be conducted between 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Coffee and lunch will be provided. Venue – complex „Horizon”, Primorski Park 3, 9005 Varna.
• Plovdiv – 10 May 2022: registration. The event will be conducted between 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Coffee and lunch will be provided. Venue – park hotel „Plovdiv”, bul. „Sankt Peterburg” 38, Lauta, Plovdiv
• Sofia – 12 May 2022: registratio. The event will be conducted between 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Coffee and lunch will be provided. Venue – the building of the Union of Lawyers in Bulgaria, 7 Pirotska Str., Sofia
Participation in the trainings is free of charge for the representatives of the target groups of trainees.
Due to the wide interest in the events, it is envisaged that only up to two representatives from each personal data controller may attend.
