On January 28, on the occasion of the European Data Protection Day, the chairman of CPDP, Mr. Ventsislav Karadjov, awarded the reporters from the Bulgarian National Radio, the „Horizon” programmе for a complete journalistic contribution in 2018. The prize is to promote the work of the Commission, the rights of citizens and their privacy integrity.
The annual journalism prize of the Commission for Personal Data Protection is given for publications, programs and publicly significant events of journalists that have regularly reflected the work of the institution in the past calendar year.
The institution thanked the reporters and the whole team of the Bulgarian National Radio for the active and objective reflection of the Commission`s explanatory campaign. The coverage of GDPR related changes has helped the information to reach out to every business, public institutions, and citizens who understand that the change is essential to the way controllers have to process and protect personal data.
