The Chairman of the Commission for Personal Data Protection Ventsislav Karadjov presented for the fifth consecutive year the „Journalism Award” on the occasion of January 28 – the Data Protection Day.
The Commission awarded Irina Duncheva for the greatest journalistic contribution during 2020 for promoting the CPDP’s activities and the citizens’ rights to privacy and personal data protection.
The institution thanks Irina Duncheva for the active, objective and well-intentioned coverage in her blog of socially important topics related to the activities of the Commission for Personal Data Protection and the opportunities for protection of personal data and information in Europe and worldwide.
The annual „Journalism Award” (CPDP’s diploma and medal) was established on January 28, 2016 and is given for publications, broadcasts and socially significant events of a journalist / media, which regularly covered the activities of the institution in the previous year.
