On 8 May 2019 the „Legal World” magazine and the International Law Centre have presented their 11th annual awards. The representatives of the legal community have voted for „Jurist of the Year” the Chairman of the Commission for Personal Data Protection Mr Ventsislav Karadjov.
The „Jurist of the Year” Award is a high professional acknowledgment of his personal contribution and leading role in the implementation of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The award is also a well-deserved recognition for the entire legal team of the Commission for Personal Data Protection due to whose efforts the Republic of Bulgaria has in place a modern and effective legislation for the protection of personal data and privacy of individuals.
