The National Assembly adopted the Annual Report of the Commission for Personal Data Protection for 2019.
The report was submitted to the National Assembly on 31.03.2020 according to Art. 7, para. 6 of the Personal Data Protection Act. On 03.06.2020 it was adopted at a regular meeting of the Internal Security and Public Order Committee, at which the Chairman of the CPDP Ventsislav Karadjov emphasizes that 2019 is characterized by three significant challenges to the Commission for Personal Data Protection, which it has successfully succeeded – firstly, updating the legal and regulatory framework in the field of personal data protection in the Republic of Bulgaria, secondly, changing the focus of the control activities and thirdly, continuing the practical application of the new legal framework in the field of personal data protection.
