On 10th September 2009, the National Assembly accepted the Report on the activity of the Commission for Personal Data Protection for 2008. The report was presented by Krasimir Tsipov, Vice-President of the Commission for Internal Security and Public Order at the National Assembly. Veneta Shopova, the Chairwoman of the Commission for Personal Data Protection was invited in the Plenary Hall.
Among the key findings was that during the reporting period CPDP has been functioned operational and the European standards in the protection of personal data are already reached. Commission’s activities in the preparation for the implementation of the Schengen acquis was reported.
The National Assembly adopted the report of CPDP without debate.
