On 17th February 2009 CPDP held a public discussion on the Draft Law on Amendment and Supplementation of the Law for Protection of Personal Data. The initiative for the debatewas of the Internal Security and Public Order Committee of the Nation Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. In the discussion participated deputies, university lecturers, experts from the nongovernmental organizations and state institutions.
Particular aspects of the legislative ideas from the Draft Law on Amendment and Supplementation of the Law for protection of personal data were discussed. All the participants got the common position that the discussion has to continue in the same atmosphere of transparency and dialogue.
