On the 15th and 16 th of April 2010 in Granada, Spain is held the 47th Meeting of the International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications. Bulgaria is presented by the members of the Commission for Personal Data Protection – Veselin Tselkov and Valentin Enev.
Issues of data protection in the Vehicle Event Recorders, Deep Packet Inspection Technologies and thair use against recent network attacks, Charter of Digital Protection and Freedom of Information are discussed. The issue of privacy and international standardisation, in particular ISO/IEC CD 29100 – Privacy framework, is raised. Some other subjects like concentration/fusion of personal data in multinational enterprises, geospatial data and privacy are discussed.
In the submitted by Bulgaria report on data protection in the telecommunications sector during the previous 6-month period are affected four major times – amendments to the Electronic Communications Act, the new Bulgarian ID cards and biometric passports, e-Health and the progress in developing of e-Government by starting the tests of an integrated web platform providing some services online.
