On 8th October 2008, a meeting was held between the Commission for Personal Data Protection and the Registry Agency. CPDP was represented by Veneta Shopova, the Chairwoman of the Commission and Valentin Enev, a member of the Commission. In the meeting also took part the Director of Legal and International Activity Directorate – Katya Stanimirova and the Director of Information Directorate Zhivko Borisov and the Chief of Department of Control on the application of the Law for Protection of Personal Data –Plamen Georgiev at the Commission for Protection of Personal Data. The Registry Agency was represented by its Executive Director Emil Stoyanov and the Chief Secretary Momchil Ivanov. In the meeting also participated the officer on security of the information Radoslav Galabov and the Chief Expert at the Information Projects and Methodology Department Boryana Teofanova.
At the meeting were discussed the opportunities and specific actions for realization of operative compatibility of information data bases and registries, questions which citizens put forward in their complaints to CPDP in relation to personal data protection in the Commercial Register kept at the Registry Agency.
The representatives of the Commission expressed readiness to develop effective collaboration.
