In the period 13th – 15th February , the Commission for Personal Data Protection jointly with the Spanish Agency for Data Protection held an international meeting on topic Personal Data Protection in Europe.
In the workshop module of the meeting took part the managers of the respective supervisor institutions in Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, representatives of the Spanish National Audience and the Spanish Agency for Data Protection, officers of the Commission for Personal Data Protection etc.
A matter of concern was the issue for the explicit agreement of under aged. It was discussed the role of the supervisory institutions. The foreign representatives shared practical problems and the corresponding decisions from the activity of the supervisory institutions in Spain, Italy, Portugal, France and Catalonia.
The second working module, which was held in parallel with the first one, was a round table on topic Analysis and Adaptation of Sector Legislation – telecommunications, banks, insurance, healthcare, direct marketing, police, public administration and justice. There participated the representatives of the administration at the Commission for Personal Data Protection and the Spanish Agency for Data Protection. It was discussed issues in different spheres of legislation. The representatives of the Spanish Agency for Data Protection introduced to the participants the results from their study of Bulgarian legislation and the correspondence of some specific laws with the European requirements on personal data protection. In a working environment they shared their impressions, asked questions and made commends regarding some details of the laws. As for arising questions, they acquainted their Bulgarian colleagues with their experience and the respecting decisions which exist in the Spanish legislation.
