The Conference of Central and Eastern European Data Protection Authorities (CEEDPA) is an international forum that assists data protection authorities from Central and Eastern Europe to directly exchange experience and practical solutions in the field of personal data protection. The first edition of the conference took place in 1998, and currently 21 countries from Central and Eastern Europe are members. The CPDP organized the 8th edition of the forum in 2006, with its representatives serving as moderators and panelists in the 2021 edition.
Goals and tasks:
- To ensure in close cooperation and mutual assistance an adequate level of personal data protection in the countries that are members of CEEDPA and to includenew participants;
- To share experience with data protection authorities outside CEEDPA that to ensure adequate personal data protection in terms of legislative framework and institutional solutions with a readiness to provide various forms of support;
- To make efforts to improve and increase awareness of individuals and institutions about the principles, rights and obligations regarding the protection of personal data;
- To focus on the youth by initiating projects related to data protection and exchanging knowledge and experience in the field of school education on human rights and the importance of personal data protection;
