A project proposal submitted by the Commission for Personal Data Protection entitled “Raising awareness of the data protection issues among the employees working in the EU” has been selected for funding after assessment carried out by European Commission’s experts. The project has been developed within the framework of the “Leonardo da Vinci” program partnership activity and will be carried out by a consortium of 4 data protection authorities, including the DPAs of Poland, Croatia and the Czech Republic. The project aims to establish guidelines on personal data protection in response to the needs of individuals who seek to begin working in a foreign EU member state. Thus individuals will be able to familiarize themselves with their rights and obligations concerning data protection in the foreign country before commencing their working activity.
