Between 24 and 25 April 2014, in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, the European Commission held a seminar on Computer Emergency Response Teams and protection of data. The event was organized by the Directorate General “Enlargement” within the TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) instrument.
The visions of the European Council and the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security(ENISA), as well as the experience of the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria and Bulgaria, were presented. The member of the Commission for Personal Data Protection prof. Veselin Tselkov presented the Bulgarian experience with a report entitled “CPDP’s role in the establishment and operation of the Bulgarian Computer Emergency Response Team”. The new challenges to the protection of personal data related to new information technologies and globalization were presented in the report. CPDP best practices were shared.
