The Commission for Personal Data Protection held a closing conference in connection with finalizing project titled „Enhancement of the management, organization and functions of the Commission for Personal Data Protection by the implementation of a functional analysis”, funded by the „Administrative capacity” Operative programme, part of the European Social Fund. The Commission was represented by its chairman – Ventsislav Karadjov and members – Tzanko Tzolov, Tsvetelin Sofroniev and Mariya Mateva. Monica Dimitrova-Beacher, head of the Governing authority of the „Administrative capacity” Operative programme, also took part in the event.
Mr. Karadjov presented the institutional history of the Commission and took the opportunity to express his gratitude to Ms. Dimitrova-Beacher for the prompt and professional approach that the Governing authority has demonstrated in its dealings with the CPDP. In its turn Ms. Dimitrova-Beacher congratulated the project team of the Commission with the quality management of the project and expressed hope that CPDP would continue to take advantage of the possibilities that OPAC offers.
The team leader of the Consortium „Alliance for good management” – the company implementing the functional analysis, Ms. Snezhana Dimitrova, presented the prоject outputs. They included the action plan, the identified strong sides of CPDP and the areas in the work of CPDP which need improvement.
At the end of the event Ms. Dimitrova express her satisfaction with the Commission’s declared intention to further invest in the professional expertise and capabilities of its administration, because this is the sole approach that can provide for sustainability of the project results.
