The Commission for Personal Data Protection is pleased to invite you to the press conference, which will be held on January 28th 2015 (Wednesday) 11:00 am, in the meeting room in Sofia, bul. „Tsevetan Lazarov” 2. A resume of the CPDP’s Annual report for 2014 year will be presented. The Annual report will be submitted for adoption by the National Assembly by the end of January 2015.
Topics in the field of data protection, the role of the Bulgarian supervisory authority in the formation of European privacy protection policies, the new global challenges and strategic directions for the CPDP’s work in 2015 will be discussed during the event.
On the occasion of the International Data Protection Day, 28 January 2015 (Wednesday), from 09:00 am to 12:30 am the Commission for Personal Data Protection declares an „Open Day”.
The Chairman and the Members of the Commission will „open their doors” for the citizens, data controllers and media representatives, so that they can ask questions and get expert answers and updated information on issues related to privacy protection.
The initiative is a part of the annual celebrations of January 28th – the International Data Protection Day, which is traditionally marked in the European Union and the countries, which are parties to the Convention № 108 for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data.
The Commission considers public awareness raising as a major prevention measure for safeguarding security in modern society.
