The administrative proceedings, started as a result of the complaints against data abuse committed by political parties in the EU elections registration process, have been concluded. There were 24 proceedings, started after 496 complaints by data subjects. The proceedings led to 54 inspections of political entities, which were carried out in 2014. As a result the CPDP imposed sanctions totaling 72 400 levs.
During the proceedings the Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology carried out forensic examinations of complainants’ signatures.
