The 37th International Privacy Conference takes place on 26-29 October 2015, in the city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This annual event is one of the most important global fora for exchange of knowledge, experience and ideas. Its purpose is to facilitate the cooperation and the establishment of unified methods for action of the data protection authorities from around the world. The main topic of this year’s event is to build bridges between the different data protection and privacy regimes. The forum will be attended by Data Protection Authorities from all EU member states and a number of representatives from third countries. The Commission for Personal Data Protection will be represented by its Chair – Ventsislav Karadjov and its Members – Tzanko Tzolov and prof. Veselin Tselkov.
Bulgaria is a candidate to host the 40th International Conference of the data protection and privacy commissioners in 2018, which coincides with the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the European Union.
