Mrs. Mariya Kadiyska, a journalist working for the „Monitor” newspaper was awarded the first annual award for journalism for major contribution with regard to promoting the activities of the Commission for Personal Data Protection and citizens’ rights. The institution expressed its gratitude to the journalist for being active through media publications, as well as demonstrating objectivity and professionalism in the selection of topics and their analysis.
The chairman of the CPDP Mr. Ventsislav Karadjov personally handed a diploma and a plaque, explaining that this is the first „Journalist Award” given on the occasion of 28 January – the Data Protection Day.
