On 2nd September in the building of the Commission for Protection of Personal Data, a working meeting was held between the Customs Agency and the Commission for Protection of Personal Data. In the meeting took part Mr. Rumen Bozhinov- Deputy Director of Customs Agency and Mr. Vasil Bozhkov – an officer on the security of information.CPDP was represented by Mr. Veselin Tselkov – a member of CPDP, Mr. Valentin Enev – a member of CPDP and Mr. Plamen Georgiev – Chief of Department of Department of Control on the Application of the Law for Protection of Personal Data. The general tasks of CPDP and the Customs Agency related to personal data protection and the full application of Shengen legislation were discussed. It was underlined the significance of the qualitative performance of these tasks. The meeting was closed with the signing of a Plan for collaboration and joint actions between Customs Agency and the Commission for Protection of Personal Data. It sets different working meetings and workshops with the participation of CPDP in relation to practical application of the Law for Protection of Personal Data in Customs Agency. The collaboration between both institutions aims increasing the qualification of the custom officers in the filed of personal data protection.
