From 7th to 8th September in Berlin is held the 46th Meeting of the International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications. In it take part representatives of data protection authorities from all regions in the world and international organizations. Bulgaria is represented by Krassimir Dimitrov, Valentin Enev and Veselin Tselkov- members of CPDP.
There will be examined issues, connected with the protection of data processed by road accidents, the security of personal data processed by travelling, some aspects of privacy and international standartisation. Mechanismes for access restriction and Internet content control as well as some questions related to the privacy and functioning of the “Google Analytics” system will be discussed. The issues, concerning the privacy and “e-mail-heritage” and the storage of SMS content for law enforcement purposes will be submitted again for consideration.
The discussion of the “The Sofia’s memorandum” – a report containing recommendations for drivers personal data protection in the e-systems for gathering road taxes, addopted on the 45th meeting in the Bulgarian capital will continue as well as the discussion of the “Charter of Digital Data Protection and Freedom of Information”, proposed by the Germany’sFederal Data Protection and Freedom of Information Commissioner.
