On 8 June 2017 the 44th National Assembly adopted the Annual Report of the Commission for Personal Data Protection for 2016. It was submitted for voting by the Internal Security and Public Order Parliamentary Committee.
The Parliamentary Committee report referred to the successful implementation of the CPDP tasks on the main direction of its activities for 2016. Special attention was paid to the systems providing e-services for citizens and businesses, the registration of data controllers, the control activities and administrative penal procedures, the protection of the rights of individuals, as well as the preventive activities. The Annual Report outlined the goals and priorities for 2017, which are in line with the new legal European data protection framework and the synchronisation of national legislation concerning public and private sectors, as well as in the sectors "Police" and "Justice".
