From 17th to 20th of May 2010 in Sopot, Poland, the 12th meeting of Data Protection Authorities for Central and Eastern Europe was held. Bulgaria was represented by the Chairwoman of the Commission of Personal Data Protection – Veneta Shopova, and the members Valentin Enev and Veselin Tselkov.
New possibilities for cooperation, corresponding to the new challenges for data protection, were discussed. Key issues concerning the protection of personal data in the employment relationships were talked about as well as data protection obligations in the context of the various electronic media activities. Each delegation presented an activity report of the respective data protection authority for the year 2009.
